The Pacific SouthWest Distrist of the Unitarian Universalist Association and Camp de Benneville Pines will hold their annual Assembly in Del Mar at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar Hotel.  The theme this year is "Weaving the Tapestry of the Beloved Community."  The keynote speaker is the Rev. Dr. Marilyn Sewell.   She will speak on "Weaving the Tapestry of Hope."

The Annual Budget Drive will begin with a formal "Tea Off!"  This is the first of three events.  You may attend all 3 events, or pick the one that suits you best.  A great time will be had at all three.

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller will be our guest speaker.  His sermon stop will be "Two Things You Must Know to Understand Modern Judaism."

The sermon topic is "Mother's Day" given by the Rev. Matthew Crary.  Celebrate Motherhood with a reflection on the Crary family's recent experience with the birth of their newest member in April.

 Our church is not a place, but a relationship among people.  Come to engage your connections within our congregation, whether they be decades old or just beginning, as the means to understand the purpose of UUCR in your life.

This is the third Annual Budget Drive event.  If you weren't able to attend the Tea Off or the Ice Cream Social, this is another chance to turn in your pledge card.  We're making it as easy as possible for you to "drive in" on your way out of town on this Memorial Day weekend.  Popcorn and other refreshments will be provided.  You may even wish to stay for the movie!
